OFF-ICE & INLINE SKATE TRAINING

Dear Skaters,

We hope this email finds you well and eager to kick off the upcoming training sessions with Blue Cantabile Ice Skating Club. First and foremost, we want to express our sincere appreciation for your enthusiasm and interest in participating in our off-ice and inline skate training program.

The majority of you have signed up for the start date scheduled for Saturday, October 21st @ 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (1 hour self-practise). However, we regret to inform you that we may need to make some adjustments to the schedule due to unforeseen venue availability issues. Thus, the training for Saturday 21st & 28th October has to be cancelled.

Currently, we are facing challenges in securing a suitable venue for our training sessions, primarily due to concerns about potential floor damage caused by inline skating. Rest assured that we are diligently working to resolve this issue by reaching out to various Sports Centers for rental options.

​

In light of these challenges, the owner of a Dance Studio (17 x 13 m) situated at Mountbatten, is willing to host our off-ice and inline training. It's a 6 minutes walk from Mountbatten MRT station, a video guide with directions to the dance studio will be send to you nearer to start of the training.

​

To accommodate everyone's schedule and preferences, we are considering moving the training sessions from Saturdays to Sundays @ 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM (30 minutes self-practise). We understand that this change may impact your availability, and we want to ensure that the new schedule works for as many of you as possible.

Here are the details of the training sessions:

Frequency: Monthly, once a week Duration: 2.5 hours per session

• 45 mins hour of off-ice training

• 1 hour of inline skate lessons (may be separated into two groups if there are 16 skaters above, since most skaters are relatively new to figure inline, all skaters will have to start learning from the beginning, different levels may be coached in the future when becomes popular)

• 30 mins of inline skate practise
